1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions
these are from robin/dame_montegue
1. How did you find your affinity with all things fae?
it started with unicorns. i have a step sister my mom's age, and she would tell me stories. i was obsessed bcuz unicorns can heal (and i was in the hospital alot). that segued into fae, because of wings, magic, and so forth. the ability to make things better. i guess
2. Why do you wear your hair long? (and would you ever consider cutting it short? Under what reasons?)one is because i am lazy and long hair can be thrown up easily. also, i can do nifty things with it when i am bored. and no, i have had short hair it it looks BAD on me
3. If you could design a sticker for your car, what would it say? "All Gods Are One God." or something along those lines ;)
4. What would your perfect pet be like? erm. a gigantic dog that i didn't have to "take care of". intelligent, able to take HIMSELF out, and not needing alot of attention... this is why i don't have a pet ;)
5. Would you trade off your intelligence for smaller boobs? Why or why not? NO!!! i like my intelligence. if i use it right i can use it to get a breast REDUCTION... but smaller boobs not worth being stupid. nothing is worth being stupid...

Re: Interview me
Date: 2005-04-26 11:59 pm (UTC)3.) if you go back to school, what will you do?
This will be a little long, but I'll eventually answer both questions (may be more information than you bargained for). I started Kroger, in 1995, while I was at Ohio University. I was studying to be an airline pilot. I wanted to fly for American Airlines or some other large international airline.
In '98, a friend returned from winter break with some bad news. He had had an elliptic seizure. On that day, something horrible came to mind, something they told us in my first ground school. FAA Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 67, "Pilots who have a history of certain medical conditions described in these standards are mandatory disqualified from flying. These medical conditions include ... epilepsy, and diabetes and hypertension requireing medication for it's control"
At first it meant nothing to me, I had a medical certificate, and I had no such condition, but neither had he. but he had a family history of epilepsy, and I have a family history of diabetes and was classified as "high risk" for developing hypertension. I thought long and hard about it and eventually dropped out of school. The odds are that I would never keep my Medical until I retire and didn't want to be stuck with some HUGE student loan bills for a degree I could never use. Turned out to be a good choice, I was diagnosed with hypertension in 2001. When I left school, it was to decide what else I wanted to major in. But before I was out a year I got a minor promotion at Kroger, and then another, then I was offered to move to Columbus and be an Assistant Customer Service Manager. That meant full-time with full medical benefits and a $6/hour raise! I couldn't pass this up. At first I was working 50+/week and bringing home more than $600 a week! I bought a new car, got an apartment in Upper Arlington, and didn't save a penny. After a year of that, they cut my overtime out, and I went to 40 hours or less, and down to $400/week. I was stuck. I started saving everything I could and trying to pay off the car, and make ends meet on $800 less a month than I had been expecting. To make matters worse, at $12.90/hour, I'd never find anyone else in town to pay that much with out working in horrible conditions or a college degree.
I maid my last car payment last month (yea!), and now that I have that obligation out of the way, I may go back to school. This time for Political Science or Liberal Arts. Today, I'd like to get a paid position for the American Red Cross, or maybe even try and get myself elected to public office of some sort. City Council maybe. Something where I can do more than complain about how it should be.
2.) ham or salami? why? and what IS salami???
Salami - it is a cured pork product made with salt, garlic, peperoncino, black pepper, or wild fennel. It is very much like pepperoni, only lighter in color and slightly less spicy.
4.) would you ever die your hair? what color? why?
Odd you would ask this question, I was thinking about it today actually. If I would dye my hair, I would have to bleach it first. It is so close to black as it is that nothing else would make a noticeable change. If all one color, Copper red. But I have also thought of just bleaching the "tips" and leaving them white (or whatever yellowish shade they turn), and showing the black roots. Still trying to decide on if I would or not, but I've thought about it on more than 1 occasion.

5.) what is your favorite game? why???
RPG- a tie between Vampire: the Masquerade (still haven't bought the new WoD Vamp book) and RIFTs by Palladium Books. RIFTs is set in the post apoplectic world , and they have published rules on everything from the low tech "Mad Max" type setting, to the ultra high tech "Shadow Run" type setting. As well as having variable levels of magic and interdimential travel. "You can't tell a RIFTs GM that something doesn't exist, because a rift will open in time and space and out it runs, or walks, or crawls, or oozes, or flows, or what ever it does." But I can't pay a group of people to play RIFTs. V:tM on the other hand is my favorite "other people will play this with me" game.
Consol video game - Grand Theft Auto III. But that's just because I don't have an XBox and because San Andreas wont be out for XBox till next month.
PC Video Game- Star Trek : Starfleet Academy (I know, It's so old, XP won't support it, but still my favorite)
Card Game - 7 card stud (like Texas Hold 'Em, but each players will get 7 cards, dealt 1 at a time, no sissy community cards).
Mind game - throwing so much information at you at once that by the time your brain assimilates all of it and determines which bits are useful you forgot what question I was answering!
