denelianthis quarter i have a class on the effects of advertising - and it mostly focuses on the effects of TV advertising.
which is kinda hard for me to get into. see, before i got my TiVO, i recorded a couple of shows (Buffy/Angel, Firefly, and i think that was IT)on the VCR, and i would sometimes flip on and watch random stuff, but on the whole i didn't watch TV.
now, of course, i have my TiVO. i LOVE my TiVO. i don't watch commercials (except movie ads, if i realize that is what it is. What? how ELSE am i supposed to know when Ironman is coming out???)
actually... right now, given the various issues... i watch "Whose Line Is It" and thats about it. oh! and BSG!!!!!! cuz YAY!!!!! its BACK!!!!!!
and i will be watching (if they EVER come back) Bionic Woman, Terminator (and i've never seen the movies... heh) Blood Ties and Heroes.
the average person watches 7 hours of tv a day accoring to my text books.
i dont watch that in a WEEK.
in other bits... anyone have the TV show the Dresden Files? i just found the books and i am totally hooked (and need to yell at whomever let me NOT read them before now...) and i want to see how the show did in comparison...
(yes, yes, this is totally random. screw you all! i read this thing freaking EVERYDAY but i almost never post. because i suck, or i don't have anything i generally want to share with the world, you decide. i'm going to take my methadone and go to bed.)
