pete got me the book i MUST have (1634: The Baltic War)
i was a good Liz. i really really was. i got it THURSDAY. i womanfully ignored its pretty, pretty cover and splendiferous words, to read the Porn Book for class.
same on friday
yes, yes, i took a 2 hour break on friday to play WoW - but, really, when a book makes PORN boring, you need a break.
finished the book last night, got all my other citations in line for my paper, played another 2 hours of Wow and said to myself, "Well, its time for bed. lets read the opening of the book so you are motivating when you get up tomorrow to finish the damned paper so you can read the book for real"
I JUST FINISHED THE BOOK!!!!!! i LITERALLY could not stop reading it. yes, i KNOW i have an addiction but i'm not sure i actually REALIZED, until i finished, that i was still reading. if that makes any sense.
so its now 1020, i have had NO sleep, and i MUST write my paper NOW.
but DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it was worth it.
and, as Lt. Eddie Cantrell said soooooo often in the book:
"Who ordered this?"
(ps. yes, i AM a cheap date and or s/o. would rather have pepsi than alcohal, and would rather have a book than a diamond. what can i say? crack would be cheaper)
