almost a third of the women in the current military report rape, attempted rape, or a huge amount of sexual harrasment (not a single, or even just a few, incidents. a LOT of incidents). chances are huge that it really does happen more than that. a way back when i was in high school and planning on joining the Navy, i was given one reason that i couldn't be on a sub - i was a woman, and there was no way to keep me "safe" from the other people serving on the subs.
if you think about that, you realize how fucked up that is. people serving the SAME military practicing war crimes on those weaker than themselves.
anyway. i'm home. i fucking hurt, but i am home. if anyone wants more details, ask. i'm not gonna post 'em unless someone really wants to know, because some might think its gross or something.
