Heath Ledger died.
and what does this say about me? that yesterday was the 35th anniversary of Roe v Wade, and monday was MLK day, and all i can think about right now is how sad it is that Heath Ledger has died?
i mean really, cute actors (even cute actors from Australia) are, quite literally, a dime a dozen. and Vin Diesel is way hotter. but i am still bummed because Heath Ledger will never again grace my TV in tight pants.
he had a baby. and an ex-girlfriend.
he wasnt afraid to play a gay man. or, at least, didn't let it stop him.
why, why, WHY do we care so much about celebrities? the fact of the matter is, we poor people tend to think that rich people live the same life with more money. THIS IS NOT TRUE. a rich person doesn't have my life plus more goods. famous actors (and, give him his due, Heath Ledge was both an actor and famous) are as different from me as Elizabeth I.
so why am i empathizing with his life, his death? instead of a long pithy post on FGM or abortion issues, i'm posting that i'm sad Heath Ledger has died.
