Actually, there was a summit last year where the scientists and governments of the world got together and and confirmed that global warming is fact. I can't recall the name of the summit, it was something pretty generic but it was big in the news for a while. It's really just the US that's sticking our fingers in our ears and saying "Nah nah nah"
